Champions league next year.. How realistic ?

Happy New Year to all Red Devil Supporters,

Year 2015 has arrived and as a Red Devil supporter, the one thing on my mind is whether we will have Champions league nights next year @ OT.

The performance during the first half has not been great but considering what happened last season, we will take it. LVG has been forced to make changes to his playing 11 in every other game because of the record number of injuries and practically the team is playing without any defence.

5 points from the first 5 games and a humiliating loss away to Leicester City @ King Power stadium, it was looking very gloomy @ OT. Things have changed for the better with the team taking in 32 points from the next 15 games with just 1 loss @ Etihad against neighbours City.

We currently sit 3rd in the table but as a fan we know how stressful it has been watching United play this season. The wins at home against WHU, Everton, Liverpool and away wins at Arsenal and Southampton have come with their share of luck and heroics of our Spanish Wall named De-Gea. Not sure where we would have been in table without him. For me he is our player of the year.

With the likes of Angel, Shaw, Herrera,Blind to come back in next few weeks, we can be optimistic that finally we will see United on full throttle. The £ 600,000/week line up of Falcao,RVP,Rooney can only be effective if we stop leaking goals and hopefully in Jan transfer window, we buy some good defenders to plug the gap.

As the campaign goes into the second half, LVG has to ensure that the team stops dropping points against lower league opposition (atleast lower in budget). The next 18 games will define the coming years at OT. As a fan we are not expecting the title this season but Top 4 is what we need from our stars.

Now to predict where we will be at the end of season, a pessimist me (MIND) says that we will end at 69 points while optimist me(HEART) is willing to dream of  a comfortable top 4 finish with 81 points.

These are my views for the club I love, would love to hear from all of you.
